If I Could

If I could be washed away
And returned to the Sea,
I would sink into the blue
And let it fill me with life,
Breathing back out all of the
Agony that stole me on land.

If I could watch a flower
And see it beautifully bloom,
I would count the petals
And wonder if he loved me,
Oozing the happiness and pain
That memories scarred me with.

If I could relive the past
And do it all over again,
I would let the chance slip by
And let it all rest peacefully,
For I would not want to taint them
When they may never be the same.
